This anniversary exhibition celebrates the 25 years of the Korean galleries and the rich collection of Korean artefacts housed at the museum. It showcases precious historic works in conjunction with contemporary ones meant to weave a thread and establishes a certain lineage of Korean art.

The four walls are structured around succinct themes—lines, people, things, and places—where works of various media and approach can be compared and contrasted. As such, the historic Joseon moon jar, national icon as such, is paired with Moon and Jar by Kim Whanki all in this effort the highlight the filiation at hand. Similarly, the central display of ceramics at various heights brings the focus on the detail and craftsmanship between pieces spanning multiple centuries.

An altogether greenish-blue, blueish-green, of an exhibition which looks forwards and back in celebrating the artistic creation of the Korean peninsula.
